(UPDATED – August 4, 2012) Kim Chiu is refusing to comment on the Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson affair. In a push.com interview, Chiu shunned questions regarding her ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson’s problems with pop princesss Sarah Geronimo. “My Binondo Girl” star called the “Ashrald” rumors just plain rumors.
As of now, Gerald Anderson supposedly stopped courting Sarah when the rules of Sarah’s parents became too much for him to handle. The pop princess denies the claims that her Mom was to blame and said on her show Sarah G. Live on July 29 that the romance between the two stopped based on her family’s advice.
Some speculate that the “Ashrald” rumors were created to drum up business for the upcoming Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson film “Crazy Love” due out sometime this year. As you recall, Chiu and Anderson created one of the Philippines’ popular “Love Teams” from 2006-2010 with 5 films together before their breakup last year. The two have a “professional relationship” now, having worked together on “Asap” and the upcoming film.
In the meantime, Kim Chiu has a hit movie out “The Healing” that is doing well at the box-office and enjoying the company of a “new man” Xian Lim. Although they are not boyfriend-girlfriend yet, they are just taking their time and enjoying life as best friends.

Kim Chiu and Xian Lim are okay for now. The Philippine “love team” are now the focus after the alleged split of Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson a few days ago. Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, otherwise known as “Kimxi” or “Kimlan,” are the equivalent of Sarah G. and Gerald A, in which Xian and Kim are “friends” and the entertainment industry’s other “love team.” Like Gerald, Xian has been courting his love team partner for months.
Kim Chiu and Xian Lim: Parties and Fun for Now!
In a recent interview with pep.ph.com, Kim Chiu said that Xian’s courtship with her has been “consistent” and that they take turns having fun in their relationship. Just recently, Kim threw a surprise birthday for Xian on July 11 in which their friends joined in the fun and made a YouTube video with Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe.” The actress did not go into further details about her relationship but she did talk about her just released film “The Healing” which opened nationwide on July 25. So far, the film has been doing well and industry experts believe the horror film with a star-studded cast of Vilma Santos, Kim Chiu, Janice de Belen, and Mark Gil will be a blockbuster.
Xian has already met Kim’s family from Cebu and the actress has already been introduced to the actor’s mom and grandmother. So far, no word about any family interference regarding the two.
Kim Chiu and Xian Lim: Future Projects?
While no future film projects have not been formally set for Kim Chiu and Xian Lim together, the pair are scheduled to star in the ABS-CBN drama series “Ina Kapatid Anak” starting October 2012.
Yet the biggest news is that the love team of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim are fine and that’s a sigh of relief for the fans from both camps.
